What is the power? The Bible tells us that there many expressions for the power of God. Jesus clearly gave to His children power: 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (1 John 1,12). The truth is that if you remove power from Christianity, it becomes an ordinary religion. You cannot be powerless and serve your Master Jesus in victory… But have you received Jesus yet? The first fundamental power for you is to receive Him – that you may become the son – or: the child – of God… – even to you who believe on His name… So you come into the knowledge and sonship of God by receiving Him as Your Lord and Saviour and by believing in Him that He died for you and rose again from the dead.
You may pray this prayer and please do so sincerely, from the depths of your heart: Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for my sins and rose again for my redemption. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart and make me new. Guide me, teach me, and help me live a life that honors You. Thank You for saving me through faith. And thank You that You have given me Your Holy Spirit as I have received You into my life and have become Your child. In Jesus‘ name amen!
You may be assured that the greatest power is that you have given your life to Him – and with the Holy Spirit that you have now received you may glorify the Lord and live a life eternal already here now on earth and then in the heaven also!
